Beautiful Mappin & Webb silver plated tipping teapot with Walker & Hall Sheffield burner and stand circa 1930-1940.

The teapot is 23 cm high (with the handle), 22 cm long and 18 cm large.

The stand with burner is 16 cm high, 18 cm long and 11 cm large.

 Mappin & Webb

Prominent English engravers, silversmiths and cutlers, still thriving today. Company founded by Joseph Mappin in Sheffield in 1810. Taken over by sons as Mappin Brothers, who later joined with a brother-in-law to become Mappin & Webb. Began producing good-quality electroplate silverware in the mid 19th Century; now concerned mainly with jewelry. Earlier marks were registered by John Newton Webb and George Webb, plateworkers, in 1866 and 1880. As Mappin & Webb Limited they registered marks in 1899 and 1900.
